Land-based family-friendly activities

Make the most of your visit to Grimaud to spend some family time together enjoying an activity that’s sure to please everyone! On horseback, on the track, in the trees… Here are some ideas to keep you entertained!

1. Ranch de la Mène

Animal heaven

If you’d like to spend some time in nature surrounded by animals, the Ranch de la Mène is the place to be.
A range of horse-riding tours are available for all levels and ages, with ponies, horses and carriages.
The ranch also has a riding centre where you can learn the basics of horse riding.
Finally, young and old alike will love the educational farm and the Wild West atmosphere that reigns at the ranch.

2. Golf Up

Accessible to all

Test your swing with the whole family at Golf Up!
Whether on the driving range or on the course, golf is open to all, so you can learn or improve your game.
It’s also possible to take lessons, and during the school holidays in zone B, Golf Up organises courses for juniors (6 – 17 years old).

3. Tree top adventures

An umbrella pine forest

Take up a challenge in the treetops! At Grimaud Aventure, no fewer than 10 courses are available for young and old to enjoy with the whole family, each at their own pace.
Several zip lines, beams and jumps await you for a fun and sporting activity.

4. Walks

Local flora and fauna

The commune of Grimaud offers a number of family-friendly trails.
We recommend a walk along the famous Pont des Fées trail, which features ceramic information panels on the local flora and fauna.
And if you’re lucky, you might even come across a Hermann’s tortoise.

5. Go-karting

Bring out the racing cars

There are several options for enjoying a bit of speed on the Grimaud Karting Loisir circuit.
From the age of 4, children can accompany an adult in a two-seater go-kart. You’ll have to wait until you’re 7 to drive a go-kart (LR5) on your own.
At 14, the RX8 go-kart will be available for even more adrenalin!

6. Playgrounds and the skatepark

Young and old alike will find plenty to do in the play areas (behind the Château and at the Blaquières sports complex), where they can enjoy a range of facilities.
For more sporty types, the skatepark and city stadium are ideal for skateboarding, scootering, football and basketball!

7. Bowling

and strike !

Want to challenge yourself as a family in a friendly atmosphere? Head for the bowling alley!
Families will love the different sizes of bowling ball for the little ones to handle, as well as a “ramp” to help launch the ball.
Side bumpers can also be used so that the youngest participants can be sure of knocking over the pins!
The bowling alley also offers arcade games.
Ready to play?

8. Orienteering course

Four circuits of between 1 and 4km are available in the village of Grimaud to test your sense of direction and map reading skills.
Here’s your chance to take on a sporting challenge while visiting the village and its monuments, and enjoying the most beautiful views.

9. Domaine du Rayol

A favorite outside of Grimaud

A little further afield, in Rayol Canadel, you’ll find the “Domaine du Rayol” Mediterranean garden.
Activities for children are offered throughout the year, including “Hands in the earth” and “Little garden creatures”.
The garden can be visited with or without a children’s booklet and with or without a guided tour.
The garden will take you from one end of the earth to the other, thanks to all the species it contains.
