Celebrating the patron saint
The Saint-Michel Festival dates from the Middle Ages.
Like the Foire de la Laine (Wool Fair), Les Feux de la Saint-Jean and the Fête du Village (Village Festival), it is one of the cornerstones of Grimaud tradition. A highlight that hasn’t faded over the years…
The symbolism of this heritage festival is strong, with a car-boot sale and craft market taking place at Grimaud’s two squares.
The celebrations wouldn’t be complete without the folklore group, Escandihado. Fifes, drums and traditional dance join the Provençal mass and the procession before the finale at the village’s Place Neuve.
This festive day, a blend of religious tradition and less-religious activities, promises many more surprises!
